ANSWER THE QUESTION... Pretty pictures are great, but I really want to know what features of the design are going to affect my model. Can I rely on Pitzer Consulting to put together a model that is worth the investment? By spending a number of days on-site with Visteon engineers, we were able to model the effects of friction, clearances, spring stiffness of the housing, assembly tolerances, part tolerances, hydraulic boost force curve, worm gear taper, damping factors, worm gear lead angle, and detent loads. They could then go about calibrating those values by correlating it to historical test data. | |
