ANSWER THE QUESTION... I’m having a hard time communicating the problem to other engineers on the project. How can I do that without wasting their time now and in the future? Very often, a model that has traditionally been modeled in 2D, either with hand calculations or through custom software code, can only be accurately modeled as a 3D system. Not only did the simulation model provide helpful visualization data for new engineers on the project, but it made the combination of various assembly and manufacturing errors much easier to assimilate into the study.
