ANSWER THE QUESTION... How do I know that the design/analysis support I’m getting is the design/analysis support I’m paying for? Once the basic design was established, we were able to establish a project plan that incorporated both design goals and simulation requirements.
This project gave us the opportunity to practice design/analysis collaboration between a designer and a remotely located simulation expert – a valuable service that Pitzer Consulting offers other customers. In this instance, Bob Pitzer was the primary designer on the project and Chuck Pitzer was the primary simulation resource. This helped us develop techniques for efficient and well-documented communication of analysis information – it also helped us understand some of the shortfalls and communication gaps that occur when two people are effectively designing the same thing.
