ANSWER THE QUESTION...What is the most cost efficient way to design this component?
Throughout the design process, designers are plaqued with questions. In this instance, we wanted to know if using square tube instead of the round tube would provide the same stiffness. We determined that the square tube performed better, was 1/3 the cost, and made it much easier to manufacture the weldment.
